This is the letter that I wrote about my Van Gogh drawing. For my drawing I had a 6 and for this letter I received a 7.

Dear Jack,
I am writing you this letter because I want to tell you about the painting I made during art class. The assignment was the following: "make two self-portraits in Van Gogh style, both expressing a different feeling". It was really hard to do, because Vincent Van Gogh had a strange style of painting. I didn't succeed well according to two reasons. Firstly, as you know: I'm not that good at art class. Secondly, I missed three or four lessons, because I was on a holiday in Egypt, as I told you in my last letter. It was really nice and sunny over there, but anyway.
You can see I was in a really angry mood, back then, as you can see in the picture of the painting. I used colours like yellow and red and black, real angry colours. And I painted it very roughly and with big brushstrokes.
The painting doesn't really show who I am, but more or less how I felt then. I was angry. And after I had received my mark I became even more angry. haha
I know I didn't succeed that well. Both, because I was in a hurry, becaused I missed some lessons, and because I really messed it up when I was painting the face. Luckily I haven't got a picture which shows te face on it, so you can't see that. But believe me, you don't want to see it. Accidently I used a much too large brush and because Sven did hit me (not on purpose, of course) while I was drawing the nose, it looked like I had my nose awry.
I'll tell you more in my next letter.
Kind regards,
Laurens
